A Bark about the Owner
Janice Dressler has been a lifelong dog lover. For many years she honed her business skills in the corporate world only to find that she kept yearning for a chance to work with dogs. She decided to chuck the corporate path and finally pursue her dream.
"I just love dogs - that's all there is to it. Let's face it, not all dogs enjoy the process. However, nothing makes me happier than to see a dog I have worked with - and either later or on the next visit - have them come running up to me with kisses. To me, that is why I went into this business."
"I have had many people come to me and relay that their dogs have had a bad experience in the past with grooming or bathing. I do everything I can to care for these what I call "special needs" dogs. Whether just puppies or an older dog, they need patience and extra love. Having my mobile van allows me the flexibility to work as long as I need to with each customer."
After attending and graduating from the prestigious, nationally known, Madeline's Institute of Pet Grooming, Janice worked for a time as a groomer at the institute getting further exposure to many different breeds and types. While working in the shop was rewarding, she knew she wanted to bring her skills home to the valley to meet new friends - human and canine! The Dapper Dog was born!
